Taste of Cayman Food & Wine Festival is billed as one of the best events of the season in the Cayman Islands, and the 2015 event was a huge success despite the threat of rain clouds on the horizon which thankfully didn’t spoil the fun. Local foodies mixed with visitors who had booked their vacation just to attend this epic event, and all were wowed by the sheer diversity and quality of the food from all the restaurants that were showcased. Seafood hotpots and sugary doughnuts, spicy paella and Caribbean lobster all vied for customers as everyone enjoyed finding their favourite dish of the day.
Situated at Camana Bay’s Festival Green, Taste of Cayman, which took place on Saturday 7th February 2015, offered delicious samplings from 30 local restaurants, while island-based drink distributors had some fantastic beers, wines and cocktails on the menu to ensure the party really went with a swing.
Various competitions throughout the evening kept the festivities flowing, including a cook-off demonstration, a mixology competition and a flair bartending competition, showcasing the talented bunch of chefs and bartenders who live here in the Cayman Islands.
