April Festivals

End of April: Batabano Junior Parade
Kids can take part in the annual Batabano carnival with a day dedicated to them
May Festivals
Early May: Batabano Adult Street Parade
A celebration of the Caribbean with a parade of beautiful costumes that winds its way from Seven Mile Public Beach to George Town’s historic waterfront.
18th May: Discovery Day
Caymanians enjoy a public holiday as they commemorate the discovery of the Islands by explorer Christopher Columbus in 1503.
June Festivals
Cayman Art Week
A week-long programme of gallery tours and studio visits designed to celebrate and encourage the collection of art in the Cayman Islands. Take the chance to see the stunning range of artistic talent Cayman has to offer.
13th June: 34th Annual Flowers, One Mile Sea Swim
The Flowers One Mile Sea Swim began more than two decades ago and has built itself up to being one of the World’s Top 10 Open Water Swims.
22nd June: King’s Birthday Celebration
A parade through the streets to celebrate His Majesty’s official birthday is followed by a garden reception and distribution of Birthday Honours.
End June: Caymas Carnival
Another great festival complete with glittering costumes and a lively parade.
July Festivals
6th July: Constitution Day
Constitution Day is a public holiday that commemorates the passing of the Islands’ first constitution back in 1959. Fun and fireworks at Camana Bay.
October Festivals
Restaurant Month and Cocktail Week
Cayman Restaurant Month and Cocktail Week is recognised as the culinary capital of the Caribbean and during this month visitors and locals can discover why. It’s when our top restaurants give you the chance to sample their exciting creations at an impressive discounted price. A great way to try a new restaurant or two or just spend an extra evening at your regular diner.
November Festivals
Pirates Week
Pirate’s Week seems to get bigger and better each year! It is one of the biggest visitor-draws of the year, and is a fabulous celebration of pirates and culture. Dress up in your favourite pirate outfit for this vibrant festival that brings event-goers marvellous entertainment in the form of incredible firework displays, entertaining pirates’ landing at the George Town waterfront, evening music, dancing and street food.
There are also heritage days celebrating each of Grand Cayman’s districts, as well as on the Sister Islands.
