The Alexandra Resort will open a new beachfront restaurant in early October
By Tristan Ralston on 25th August, 2015
The restaurant will be called Asú on the beach. The name means sunset in Taino, the language spoken by the Arawak Indians who lived in Turks and Caicos centuries ago.
The newly renovated restaurant facilities will emphasize a relaxed environment overlooking world acclaimed Grace Bay. Cheerful and contemporary decor will welcome guests during the day, and by night patrons will be presented with a magical dining atmosphere under a starlit sky accentuated by swaying illuminated baskets.
Asú on the Beach will also offer barefoot dining on the beach at dinner, which is always a special treat for island visitors.
The indoor dining area will be renovated to include an open concept kitchen, as well as an upgraded bar and dining area, and an air conditioned function room for private events.
Alexandra Resort guests will be able to enjoy food and beverage service on the beach, at the swim up pool bar and poolside.
Asú on the Beach will be open daily from 7:30am until 10:30pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The restaurant replaces a popular dining venue at the Alexandra Resort, and joins the Turks & Caicos Collection of other resort restaurants that include Kitchen 218 at Beach House, and Salt Bar & Grill and Fire & Ice at Blue Haven Resort and Marina.
