A Night at the Fish Fry, Turks and Caicos 2026

There is no better place to celebrate the culture and the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands than the Tourist Board’s weekly production of their Fish Fry every Thursday evening. This is not just any ordinary Fish Fry but an extravaganza of local music, talent, singing and dancing — showcasing the best that the Turks and Caicos islands have to offer.

Every Thursday evening in Providenciales, the heart of the Turks and Caicos Islands comes alive with the sights, sounds, and flavors of the weekly Fish Fry. This much anticipated event, held at Stubbs Diamond Plaza or occasionally other community spots, brings together locals and tourists for an unforgettable night of food, music, and cultural celebration. From the moment you arrive, the mouthwatering aroma of freshly cooked seafood fills the air, and the energy is infectious as crowds gather to enjoy the best of island life.

It is conveniently located next to the Gansevoort Resort in the Lower Bight area of Providenciales. Feel free to arrive by taxi or your own transport any time after 5:30 pm to get the party started, although we do recommend being there after 7:30 pm to join in with the famous Junkanoo Parade which is the highlight of this esteemed event. The Junkanoo features local musicians dressed in traditional Caribbean costumes playing everything from drums to whistles and dancing, all the way from the back of the event grounds to the main stage, and of course you can join right in!

The Fish Fry showcases local food vendors from the famous Hole In The Wall restaurant (our favorite for jerked chicken), to Smokey’s (try their lobster while it’s in season) as well as Crackpot Kitchen and other amazing local restaurants. Top it off with an ice cream cone from Island Scoop/Melt in their gorgeous pink ice cream truck located at the entrance of the event. You can’t attend the Fish Fry without trying Coco Vibes’ amazing ice-cold fresh coconut water; they chop off the top of the coconut and can insert some rum, throw in a straw and you have the makings of an excellent libation, although we are pretty sure you can’t have just one.

The food is, without a doubt, the highlight of the evening. Dozens of local vendors line the venue, serving up traditional Turks and Caicos favorites like grilled lobster, conch salad, cracked conch, and fried snapper. Each stall offers its own spin on these classics, accompanied by sides like peas and rice, plantains, and local slaws. Pair your meal with a refreshing rum punch or a cold Turks Head beer, and you’ve got the perfect island feast. The casual, open-air setting makes it easy to mingle, try different dishes, and enjoy the laid-back, friendly vibe.

But the Fish Fry is more than just a culinary event—it’s a full cultural experience. Local bands and entertainers provide live music throughout the night, filling the air with the rhythms of rake-and-scrape, reggae, and soca.

Dancers, fire performers, and even Junkanoo parades often make appearances, turning the event into a colorful, high-energy show. Local artisans also showcase their crafts, offering handmade jewelry, artwork, and souvenirs. Whether you’re dancing to the beat, shopping for local treasures, or simply enjoying the warm Caribbean night, the Fish Fry is a must-do for anyone visiting Providenciales.

You definitely don’t want to miss this weekly event as it is where memories are made and new friends are enjoyed. It is a free event to attend, so be sure to keep a Thursday free for you and your whole family to enjoy!
