This week we chatted to travel blogger Jennifer Serra, AKA Adventures of Wander about working remotely, her travel bucket list and visiting Aruba.

Where does your passion for photography and blogging come from?
Photography has been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. I was always the annoying friend who photographed everyone and everything and loved playing around in photoshop (mostly making horrible face swaps to begin with). But a few years ago, I started to follow a few travel accounts on Instagram and I realized that I wanted to share my travels too and help others explore new places. I hope I’ve helped at least someone so far – haha.

When you’re not taking amazing Insta pics what are you up to?
Sadly I’m not a full-time traveler, so I mostly spend my days working in Stockholm as a web developer. Fortunately, that’s something that can be done remotely, so I’m trying to convince my dear boyfriend that staring into a screen on a beach somewhere is a lot nicer than in an office…
Oranjestad, Aruba
What has been your favorite destination you’ve traveled to and why?
Budapest! I was just mind blown by the fantastic architecture and beautiful castles everywhere. I can’t believe it was so close to where I live and I never discovered it earlier!

When you’re in the picture who’s taking the shot?
Usually my boyfriend Andreas, much to his dismay. He’s always embarrassed by me “Instagram posing” so our photo sessions are unfortunately quite short haha.

What are your suitcase essentials?
Camera gear, bikinis, and my passport. That’s all I need!

What are the top 3 destinations you would like to visit this year?
Bahamas, Borneo, and Tahiti!

What are your top tips for taking stunning vacation photos?
Plan and research locations ahead – I always find my location inspiration on Instagram and then I spend a lot of time googling it to find out when the best time to go is (to avoid it being crowded) and what not to miss. When you’re at the location, try to play around with different angles so that your photos won’t look like everyone else’s.

What’s your favorite Instagram picture?
It must be one where I’m feeding the flamingos in Aruba, it was such an incredible feeling of feeding a wild animal but also because just minutes after the photo was taken, my boyfriend proposed! It was just an amazing day!
